Join fellow members and their guests for social events throughout the year. Our events sometimes include food but may also include short driving tours, picnics or casual car shows. Whatever the event, you're sure to have the opportunity to get to know other members and reconnect with those you've met before.

The 2010 Social Committee members include:

Aug. 8 -- The drive to Botham Vineyards started out a bit soggy but the sun came out upon our arrival at the historic car show in Barneveld. Read the recap here.

Sept. 25 - 50th anniversary Everything Porsche dinner at the Wisconsin Country Club in Milwaukee. Details here.

Oct. 16 - Fall Drive to Breakfast. This is a great way to spend a Saturday morning. We will drive in follow-the-leader style to Lake Geneva from our starting point in East Troy (Hwy 20 exit off of I-43). All of the details are here.

Oct. 22 - 23 Weekend in Door County -- Enjoy a getaway weekend with us in Door County. We'll caravan from Cedarburg on Friday and spend two nights at the White Gull Inn in Fish Creek, Wis. We'll enjoy a fish boil on Friday and a tour of a winery. All of the details, including registration deadline for a room at the White Gull Inn are now available here.

November (date to be determined) -- Casual fish fry.

Can you help with one or more of these events? The Social Committee would welcome any members who would be willing to help out with any of our scheduled events. Each event has its own unique set of tasks. None are difficult and some are fun! Example: When a short driving tour is planned, it's imperative that the route be driven several times, including the day before the event, to make sure all route instructions are accurate and that the local highway department hasn't set up a detour or laid fresh tar and gravel on the road we planned to take. Your help in driving the course and reporting back to the tour leader is important to the success of the event. Another example -- help with some of the arrangements for an event -- contacting the restaurant where we'll be dining, taking the reservations from members and finalizing the number with the restaurant. If you can help, contact the social committee co-chairs.
