Waterfalls tour provides lots of visual treats
Like the Milwaukee Region, the Fox Valley Region (FVR) often looks for interesting reasons to head out on the road in a group. In late May, the FVR put together a tour of four waterfalls in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. This was a new addition to FVR's schedule and it was a hit.

The tour on May 22 started in Eagle River, Wis., a somewhat equi-distant starting point for FVR members who hail from all over the northeast part of Wisconsin and the U.P. Ned and Jeanne Boston and Mike and Bev Jurkowski of the Milwaukee Region joined in the fun, bringing the total number of cars in the tour to 10.
In follow-the-leader touring style, we headed north out of Eagle River and soon had crossed the state line into Michigan. Everywhere you looked there were tall white pines, and trees and shrubs sporting their spring greenery. We stopped at two falls in the morning, each within a short walk from paved parking. The falls are indeed a treasure and not to be missed if you're in the area.
Lunch at a golf course provided a comfortable mid-day rest point. Following lunch, the group stopped at two more falls, before returning to Eagle River.
