Our region has been celebrating the 50th anniversary of its charter as a region in the Porsche Club of America. A fitting end to the year-long calendar of special events that marked this milestone is the Everything Porsche banquet on Sept. 25 at the Wisconsin Country Club, 6200 W. Good Hope Road, on Milwaukee's northwest side.
We'll park our Porsches in a beautiful display in the parking area and then proceed into the club where we will enjoy cocktails (cash bar) and complimentary appetizers, followed by a sit-down, multi-course dinner. A silent auction will add some excitement in the background as we mix and mingle. Proceeds from the auction will go to the Susan G. Komen Find a Cure Foundation to support breast cancer research.
As we finish dessert, we will begin the evening's entertaining program and will hear from:

-- Caren Cooper, national secretary, Porsche Club of America
-- Gene Bussian, PCA charter member and founding member of the PCA Chicago/Milwaukee region

Everyone is invited and encouraged to join us for this event. Bring your spouse, a guest or attend solo. Formal attire is not required. Some will be in formal attire but others will be in less formal wear.
If you plan to park your Porsche in our special display, please plan to arrive by 5:45 p.m.

Menu choices:
Choice 1: Angus Beef and Chicken Duet. Five ounces of Montreal-seasoned Angus top sirloin, grilled and finished with garlic-mushroom saute, then paired with grilled breast of chicken laced with cheesy asparagus cream and shredded cheddar accompanied by roasted red jacket potatoes and honey maple carrots.
Choice 2: Grilled Vegetable Napoleon. Eggplant, zucchini, sweet red pepper and yellow crookneck squash marinated in balsamic vinaigrette, then grilled and layered with fresh mozzarella and sun-dried tomato marinara. Paired with tri-colored tortellini, champagne-wilted spinach and balsamic tomatoes.
