Join PCA-MKE for the final tour of the driving season. Don’t miss this opportunity to add some quality miles to your Porsche’s odometer before you tuck it away for the long Wisconsin winter (or not). If we’re lucky, we’ll hit the peak of our fall color season as we drive Porsche-centric, twisty, hilly backroads through the Northern unit of the Kettle Moraine State Forest. If we have sunshine, the leaves should glimmer. The event will take place rain or shine.

We’ll meet early afternoon at an easy-to-access location just northwest of the Milwaukee metropolitan area. After the mandatory Drivers’/Navigators’ meeting, we’ll be on our way on a 70-mile, anything-but-direct route to Cedarburg. Each car will be provided with a set of detailed turn-by-turn driving directions, but we’ll drive as a group.

About 75 minutes into our drive, we’ll make a 20-minute rest stop at a conveniently located BP gas station. Once on our way again, we’ll drive more twisty backroads along northern reaches of the Milwaukee River. Later, we’ll pass by the last remaining covered bridge in Wisconsin as we approach Cedarburg. We’ll have a brief regrouping stop after we cross busy Highway 60; the rear-most cars in our group are almost guaranteed being stopped by the short-fused traffic light at Five Corners. In Cedarburg, where we’ll arrive about 4 p.m., we’ll park our cars in the plentiful spaces proximate to Cedarburg City Hall.

Once parked, participants could consider several options to extend their stay in the quaint tourist-friendly town, or could head home. You might want to wander the streets perusing the many shops and galleries or visit the old woolen mill which houses additional shops. Or you may want to visit one of three local wineries for a tasting and any of these options: The brand-new Blind Horse Winery Cellar, an offshoot of the Kohler winery, the Chiselled Grape Winery or Cedar Creek Winery, a branch of Wollersheim Winery in Prairie du Sac.

Another possibility is grabbing dinner at a local restaurant. Restaurants that you might consider include
Brandywine (fine dining), Stilt House (craft beers, small plates), La Cantina (Mexican) or Tomaso’s (pizza).

Reservations are highly recommended at any of the venues. Consider making a reservation for a couple extra people and invite some long-standing or newly minted Porsche friends to join you for a glass of wine, dinner, or both.

THIS EVENT IS FULL.  A wait list has been started. In the event of a cancellation, those on the waitlist will be contacted in the order of the date on which they signed up, to fill the open spot. Details regarding the meeting place and start time will be sent about a week prior to the event, to all who have signed up. At the pre-start meeting, all adult participants will be required to sign the ubiquitous PCA waiver. Any minor (under age 18) participants will be required to bring a completed PCA Minor Waiver signed by their parents.
