Q&A--things we get asked

Here is a list of Q&A representing the most common topics we often get asked about.

Q. Where are the back issues of Steinlifters?
A. On the navigation row at the top of the region website, click on Newsletter and then click on "Proceed,,,,," Enter the generic passcode (it's the same for everyone, not your PCA log in). There is a good clue but if you can't figure it out because you don't know the city name in Germany where the Porsche museum is, then ask the webmaster for the answer. Email: webmaster@porschepark.org

Q. How do I submit a classified ad?
A. In addition to the answer that is posted on the Classifieds ad page of the website, you can simply send an email to: webmaster@porschepark.org and provide the text for the ad and up to two ,jpgs. Ads must be for Porsches or Porsche-related items. Sell your old Chevy somewhere else.

Q. I have a new email address. I want to continue to receive emails from the region and PCA.
A. Good for you. You need to log in to pca.org and update your membership record. We can't do that for you. At the local level -- i.e. region -- we do not maintain a listing of members' email addresses.

Q. I have a new mailing address.
A. See answer for email.

Q. I sold the Porsche you listed with my anniversary in Steinlifters. I now drive a ....
A. You need to log in to pca.org and update the vehicles that you want to list as part of your membership. We can't do that for you.

Q. I once heard a member refer to someone else as his "fellow Steinlifter." What did he mean?
A. Perhaps that is his beer-drinking buddy. Our region name is Milwaukee. Good old Milwaukee. It is not Steinlifters, which is the name of the newsletter. Many regions in PCA simply are named for the area or region of the country where they are located....like Chicago, Southern Indiana, Fox Valley, Upper Canada, etc.

Q. I don't want to receive emails from the region and national.
A. You can opt out of both emails from the region and PCA (National) by logging in to pca.org and updating your membership record. You're on your own after that then to learn about our events and to read the newsletter which you can access via our region website.

Q. I don't receive any emails from the region or national.
A. Your email provider may be blocking these emails. No, we can't troubleshoot for you. Have you opted out of news from PCA (that includes the region as we use the same emailer program)? Check your membership record at pca. org to make sure you haven't opted out. Or, another suggestion that might solve the problem is to add to your contacts these emails which would appear as "sender"-- enews@enews.pca.org and "newsletters@pca.org"

Q. How do I add my spouse, friend, kid as a family member to my PCA membership?
A. Send an email to membership@pca.org and provide your name and membership number as well as the name of the person you want to add to your account (it's free) and his or her relation to you...i.e. spouse, friend, etc.
