Autocross #2 is Aug. 30 at Road America — and it's a big one!
We're back at Road America on Aug. 30, right in the middle of the GT World Challenge America weekend. Come run your Porsche at the Motorplex (Go Cart track), then spend your downtime watching pro-level racing between sessions. Hard to beat that combo.
Big news: Porsche SUVs and EVs are officially welcome. Road America is letting us run Porsche EVs for the first time — yes, really. It's because this group behaves so well and everyone's had such a great time together. If enough EVs sign up, we'll set up a dedicated EV class. So don't sit on this one — register early and help make that happen.
Why you should register now, not later: The Central Wisconsin PCA region is joining us that day for their season opener, and we run a small, fun group on purpose — it keeps the day relaxed and maximizes everyone's seat time (we're aiming for 10-12+ runs per car). Spots really will go fast. Fox Valley region members are invited too.
Still on the fence? Here's why you shouldn't be:
- You'll fit right in. No experience needed — this group is famously welcoming.
- Your Porsche is welcome here. Whatever you drive, we want to see it on course.
- No helmet? No problem. Road America has rentals, and several of us have spares too — just ask ahead.
- Tech inspection is easy. Do it yourself in your driveway, no shop visit required.
- Low risk, low cost. Just $60, and you can cancel up to a week out, no questions asked.
- You've got this. I've watched you handle the PCA Tours — autocross will feel completely natural.
And here's the thing: we run these events for you. The club doesn't make money on autocross — we do it purely to give you a great day out. So don't overthink it, just come join us.
Worried your car isn't "an autocross car"? It is. You're driving a machine that cruises at 150+ mph all day and handles the tightest switchbacks in the Alps without blinking. Road America's Motorplex track will be a walk in the park by comparison.
